"WINNING MEANS YOU ARE WILLING TO GO LONGER, WORK HARDER AND GIVE MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE"

Vince Lombardi

BREATHING IN THE OPEN WATER

When it comes to breathing in open water or in the pool (but especially important in open water) remember the exhale into the water is longer than the inhale (with the inhale being done when the head is turned to the side). In fact the exhale into the water continues as the head turns to the side and the final 5% of air is expelled with the head turned and your mouth above the water. You can then immediately breath in and repeat.
