-The only way to experience a mass start before your race mass start!

Dates:        1 July 2017,

Time:         6am – 9am

Location:  Bray Lake, Windsor Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 2EB

Seven – Time World Champion and ten time swim winner at the London Triathlon Richard Stannard has put together an open water swim masterclass. With help from the rest of the Open Water coaching team, the Masterclass will consisting of a morning of equipment instruction, mass start practice, group swim training, drafting, video analysis, sighting tuition and improved racing.

Richard and the team will take a unique approach to open water swimming by filming the first mass start practice from multiple angles, then analysing the footage with you. Richard will break down the performance of the group in order to allow a visual demonstration of what is required for effective open water swimming and racing.

We will then split into groups with individual coaches for some more focused open water swim tuition specifically looking at correct wetsuit fitting, sighting, breathing, stroke technique, race craft, deep water starts, buoy navigation, pacing and transition.

The aim of the day is to leave Bray Lake a more confident, accomplished and faster open water swimmer.

Richard and his team of experienced coaches have coached all levels of ability from complete beginners to Olympic athletes and have competed nationally and internationally in both the pool and open water.
