FULL MOON SWIM

The Triathlon Training Centre and Bray Lake Watersports team are please to announce their FULL MOON SWIM EVENT at Bray Lake on Friday 27 July 2018.

This event is a unique opportunity to swim under moonlight, with the event being held under the Friday full moon. The clubhouse cafe will be open for the evening with a BBQ available for purchase from 7:30pm so come down with friends and family for a fun evening under the stars.

The event will be held over a 500m course with illuminated buoys and with each swimmer fitted with a glowstick. The lake will be open for swimming as the sun sets from 8:30pm until 10pm with each swimmer swimming a minimum of one 500m lap or as many laps as you wish during this time. The event will be supported by a full team of safety staff, both on-water (paddle board) and lakeside.

Cost is £20 per person (inclusive of registration fee) for the full moon swim plus each participant will receive at registration a goodie bag which includes a voucher for another general open water swim at Bray Lake for future use.

The GATES AND REGISTRATION will open at 7:00pm with REGISTRATION closing at 9pm. A rolling BRIEFING will be conducted next to the pontoon prior to you entering the water – where you will be fitted with your glowsticks and set off on your way. LAST ENTRY into the water will be 9:30pm.

  • AGE REQUIREMENT: 16 years old & over ONLY (those over 14 but under 16 may attend and swim provided that they have been signed off as a competent junior swimmer by the Triathlon Training Centre. Please email info@triathlontrainingcentre.com to request sign off prior to purchasing tickets for your under 16 year old.)
  • WETSUITS are highly recommended for this event
  • Wetsuit rental is available for the evening event for those who require one. If you would like to hire a wetsuit for the event, please contact Jas to reserve your wetsuit at info@triathlontrainingcentre.com by Wednesday 25 July.

The Triathlon Training Centre and Bray Lake Watersports promotes a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and caters for all levels of experience. We do however advise that you have trained for the event and practiced swimming the minimum event distance in open water prior to 27 July.
